Contouring and highlighting are everything we need to create a beautiful, multi-dimensional makeup look. No matter how perfect is the eye makeup, or how beautiful is the lipstick shade, the makeup always looks incomplete without a touch of bronzer and a pinch of highlighter on the cheekbones.

There are so many contouring products on the beauty market nowadays, but not all of them are worth the hype and the price. I'm a big fan of budget beauty finds, because most of the time affordable makeup products are just as good as high-end variants. I sincerely believe that we can look our best without spending all our savings on expensive makeup.

The Contour Powder palette* by Nur Besten comes in matte black packaging, simple and sleek just as I like it. Each palette contains 6 multipurpose shades: 2 of the shades are medium and dark contouring shades, 1 is a white highlighter, 1 is a 'banana' under-eye baking powder and 2 others are light and medium-pressed powders and you can use them to simply set the foundation.

All of the shades from the contour palette are absolutely matte, they have a nice and smooth texture. It is very easy to work with all colors, they blend out beautifully leaving the most natural finish on the skin. Both dark shades from the palette have a nice cool undertone and it makes them perfect for light skin. The pigmentation is quite good as well, but it is not super intense.

I prefer powder contouring over cream contouring at the moment, because cream contour kits can be harder to use for beginners and for those who have light skin complexion like myself. It is always easier to blend out the edges of the powder bronzer and highlighter than to work with a heavy cream texture on your skin. Though if you are an owner of dry skin type, cream contouring may work better for you, because the powder has a tendency to emphasize skin flakes and dry areas.

This affordable contouring palette by Nur Besten is truly a multipurpose product, because you can use all these shades to contour not only your face but body as well. I also like to use it for my eye makeup, on the days when I choose a natural look.

Needless to say, this palette is a huge bargain and definitely worth every penny. It is a perfect dupe for such expensive contour palettes as Anastasia Beverly Hills Contour Powder Kit ($ 40), Smashbox #ShapeMatters palette ($ 55), Too Faced Cocoa Contour Makeup palette ($ 40), and Smashbox Step-by-Step Contour Kit ($ 45). If you are a makeup enthusiast or a fan of Kim K. contouring techniques I think you will like this Bargain Contour palette, by the way, it is an amazing holiday gift.

Lots of love,
Liz
